LAW
AMENDING, SUPPLEMENTING ARTICLE 73 OF LAW ON LABOR
Pursuant to the 1992 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, which was amended and supplemented under Resolution No.51/2001/QH10 dated December 25, 2001 of the Xth National Assembly, 10th Session;
The Law on Amending, supplementing Article 73 of the Labor Code dated June 23, 1994 which was amended and supplemented according to the Law on Amending, supplementing a number of Articles of the Labor Code dated April 02, 2002 and the Law on Amending, supplementing a number of Articles of the Labor Code dated November 29, 2006.
Article 1
Article 73 of the Labor Code is amended, supplemented as follows:
“Article 73
The employees are entitled to abstain from work and receive full pay on the following holidays:
– New Year’s Day (solar calendar): one day (January 01 of solar calendar).
– Lunar New Year Festival: four days (the last day of the lunar year and the first three days of the new lunar year).
– The Hung Kings’ death anniversary Day: a day (March 10 of lunar year)
– Victory Day: one day (April 30 of solar calendar).
– International Labor Day: one day (May 01 of solar calendar).
– Independence Day: one day (September 02 of solar calendar).
If the above-stated holidays coincide with weekly holidays, the employees are entitled to be off on the following days.”
Article 2. This Code takes effect since the date of its publication.
This Law was passed on April 02, 2007, by the XIth National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at its 11th session.
